Automation is the future and, at IPsoft, the present

The infrastructure of tomorrow will not be managed by people, but by expert systems. IPsoft has developed these systems.

IPsoft’s automated systems resolve more than half of all problems without human intervention. Automation is so important to businesses because it reduces errors. Even for redundant manual tasks, the human error rate is about 10 percent. The automated error rate is near 0 percent.

IPcenter, IPsoft’s operational service delivery portal, provides a consolidated end-to-end automation framework encompassing Level 1 and Level 2 activities. IPcenter adaptively learns from the customer IT environment and is able to generate autonomic agents that self-correct and heal exceptions. Even when automation cannot completely remediate a problem, IPcenter supports human engineering activities by gathering information and soliciting targeted response options.

Automation Example
The following  is part of an actual automation, which corrects a Blocking Lock issue. The “automaton” goes through the process of connecting to the database, opens a SQL plus session, extracts all the blocking lock information from the environment, and follows with a custom escalation process, which is customized according to specific IPcenter CMDB information.

In the event there are no pre-approved actions, the IPsoft Virtual Engineer will escalate to the client and ask regarding a specific remediation path: should we kill the session, trace it, downtime monitor? The approver can either click the link provided in the ticket update or interact with the interactive voice response system (IVR), in which case the automation will run the case to completion.
