Despite recession, IPsoft launches 14,000 sq. ft. Network Operations Center NEW YORK – In these difficult times, so many companies are in survival mode, simply trying to pull through the recession.
But IPsoft, a managed IT services provider headquartered in New York City, is bucking conventions. IPsoft is not only thriving – it’s expanding.
This spring, the company completed construction on a 14,000 sq. ft. Network Operations Center, a multi-million dollar undertaking and a rarity during this global economic crisis. The state-of-the-art facility seats 90 engineers, occupying the entire tenth floor of 17 State Street at the tip of Lower Manhattan. The curved space features 180-degree picture windows that overlook the Statue of Liberty and offer a sweeping view of New York Harbor. In addition to centralizing all network operations, the new floor provides additional room for meetings and conferences.
“IPsoft has taken a bold step forward with this,” said Chetan Dube, president and CEO of IPsoft. “In the middle of the worst global recession since the 1930s, IPsoft continues to forge ahead while the rest of the world is clamping down.”
The construction was completed in record time. Work began in February. By the first week in April, engineers were settled at their workstations, busy assisting clients.
That such an ambitious project was conceived and achieved during a recession “points to the strength of IPsoft,” said Chris Gallin, vice president of John Gallin & Son, the firm that managed the construction. “It shows IPsoft’s faith in its clients and the overall growth potential of the company.” Founded in 1998, IPsoft serves a wide array of industries and corporations. One in every 30 Fortune 1000 companies relies on IPsoft for hosting and managed services, and rapid growth necessitated the office expansion.
IPsoft continues to flourish for a number of reasons. The company’s service model, which leverages expert systems and automation to diagnose and fix problems, has radically shifted the economics of IT management. Instead of relying solely on labor and manual processes, IPsoft’s patented autonomic engineering resolves more than half of all client issues without human intervention. The preventive technology addresses incidents before they become outages or severe problems.
And in these difficult times, IPsoft is helping many companies weather the recession.
“IPsoft is leading the pack, using the down cycle to reposition and emphasize their forward-looking philosophy,” says Roland Gebhardt, principal of Roland Gebhardt Design, the firm that spearheaded the expansion.
During economic downturns, more businesses look to outsourcing and managed services. IPsoft delivers improved levels of IT services at lower costs – making it a rare bull in a bear economy. More about IPsoft IPsoft is a global managed services company providing comprehensive support services to corporations worldwide. The company is headquartered in New York City, with offices in San Jose, CA; London; Frankfurt; Stockholm; Amsterdam and Bangalore.
