IPsoft announces opening of Frankfurt office

NEW YORK, NY (February 2, 2009)

IPsoft Incorporated today announced the opening of an office in Frankfurt.

The office marks the launch of IPsoft’s third European outpost. The expansion into Germany reflects IPsoft’s global growth – as well as a change in the German attitude toward outsourcing.

IPsoft Germany Country Head Christoph Ferdinand explains that while top German companies traditionally have been more open toward outsourcing, mid-sized companies – known as the “Mittelstand” – have only recently warmed up to Managed Services Providers. Changes in the economic climate and the pressures of globalization have caused mid-sized German companies to question the value of handling IT tasks in-house.

“IT budgets have been squeezed for a fair number of years now, and the quality of in-house IT services has been suffering as a consequence,” Ferdinand says. “Time is ripe for new thinking.”

Mid-sized German companies, Ferdinand adds, “are prime targets because their own business model hinges on innovation and achieving superior product quality at affordable cost – which mirrors our core vision.”

From its base in Frankfurt, IPsoft is also extending its reach beyond Germany, targeting countries in Central and Eastern Europe including Switzerland, Austria and Poland, and serving key industries including finance, manufacturing and e-commerce channels.
