IPsoft transitions clients to IPcenter v3
NEW YORK, NY (August 30, 2009) IPsoft has been transitioning its clients to IPcenter v3, the new ITIL v3-aligned management portal.
The new management platform provides clients with a host of new features, including:
• IPautomata: A toolkit for building intelligent software agents • IPcmdb: A configuration management database that integrates communications between the IT management tools and provides a standard framework for aligning and accessing IT info • IPkm: A knowledge management tool that provides document, records and web content management • IPcal: A master display calendar that displays asynchronous events and scheduled batch processes • IPescalate: A tool that facilitates incidents and problems
Developed by IPsoft’s R&D department, IPcenter v3 has transformed the way IPsoft does business. “Very simply, v3 is a game changer,” says Global Head of Operations Eric Sheedy.
Migrating clients to v3 is not a simple task, but what could be a complicated process is streamlined through a set of procedures that could be compared to building a hotel. IPsoft’s Service Transition team is responsible for making sure the hotel is ready for occupancy, with all amenities working. Quality Assurance is an essential part of the pre-migration process.
To ensure a smooth transition to the new portal, IPsoft’s Service Delivery Managers have been providing clients with extensive training prior to the migrations. Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive: Within the first two weeks after migration, each client has logged a merit for IPsoft’s engineers.
