NEW YORK, October 23, 2017 — Edwin van Bommel, IPsoft’s Chief Cognitive Officer, will speak about IPsoft’s Amelia, the market-leading cognitive virtual agent, and how AI is transforming customer experience during a session at the Money 20/20 Conference taking place this week in Las Vegas, Nevada, at The Venetian Hotel. Money 20/20 is one of the largest annual conferences for financial institutions, with more than 11,000 attendees expected at the four-day event (Oct. 22-25), including more than 1,700 CEOs and 2,500 C-level executives from 85 countries.

Edwin will be a featured panelist during a session on Tuesday, Oct. 24, “Chatbots & Virtual Assistants: Building an Interactive Digital Experience,” focusing on AI-enhanced customer experience and its current and potential effects on digital banking institutions. During the session, he will discuss AI’s unique potential for driving up Net Promoter Scores and help banks seize new revenue opportunities. Pioneering banks in the US and Europe are already achieving competitive advantage by using Amelia to improve customer loyalty, profitability and growth by leveraging her natural language, emotional sentiment and contextual capabilities – all of which delivers an optimized customer experience.

“The Money 20/20 conference is a premier event each year for the financial services sector, and attracts some of the brightest minds in the industry looking to transform their organizations,” Edwin said. “Conversational commerce that requires sophisticated AI in human interaction capabilities is fast becoming a requirement for a tech-savvy customer base. I’m excited by the opportunity to discuss the emerging best practices we see in banks introducing AI into their customer relationship strategies.”

The annual Money 20/20 Conference is the largest marketplace for ideas, connections and deals in the Payments and Financial Services sector. The event offers attendees the opportunity to learn about new technological advancements that will impact the financial services industry, and provides an environment for attendees to network with potential vendors and partners. AI is sure to be top-of-mind with many attendees; one Deloitte survey of 3,000 financial services C-level executives found that one-third of respondents see AI becoming mainstream in 18 to 24 months, and a majority said AI will have a major impact on their business and the entire industry.
