Global Citizen is a non-profit group that aims to end extreme poverty by 2030. The organization enlists volunteers in support of the United Nations’ 17 goals for sustainable development. One of the group’s biggest obstacles is connecting volunteers with the projects that mean the most to them. This is where technologies like Amelia can prove especially helpful. Global Citizen is partnering with IPsoft to develop a system that will help volunteers around the world join the group’s mission using Amelia.
Simon Moss, co-founder of Global Citizen, took the stage at DWS 2018 to provide more project details. “What we’re going to be using AI for, in partnership with the team at IPsoft, is to help people discover. Help them discover, if you will, what their personal journey is,” Simon explained. Amelia will help volunteers “find the right organization, the right issue, the right cause, and ultimately the right way for you to make a big difference in the world.”
