At this year’s Digital Workforce Summit (DWS), we had an opportunity to interview Andrew Belzile, Program Manager with the Montreal-based IT and business consulting firm CGI, about his company’s ongoing partnership with IPsoft. We spoke about the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on IT operations in general and the potential of an autonomic IT management tool like IPcenter in particular.

While CGI serves many industries, the majority of its clients are agencies with the US government, which comes with many unique IT challenges that IPsoft has worked with the company to address. “Because we do so much business with the federal government and we provide, essentially, a private cloud to federal government agencies, we must have what they call a FedRAMP certification, which is a very stringent set of rules and processes that [we] must adhere to [in order] to provide services to any federal government agency,” Belzile explained, adding that IPsoft is “a great partner at working with us and helping us to achieve that certification and maintain it.”

While the majority of CGI’s work with IPsoft has been built around IPcenter, Belzile talked about how the company is now exploring the potential of 1Desk. “We’re very excited to try 1Desk, because we think it marries a lot of the capabilities we love from IPcenter with some of the new products that [IPsoft has] come out with like Amelia and 1RPA,” he said. “It’s really going to help us kind of marry the back-end data center operations with the front-end user services. So we can’t wait to see what that can provide to us and our customers.”
